Allow your mind to quiet down and feel the joy. Daily, there will always be issues that do not pan out according to how we wish. Rather than habitually reacting with anger, why not quiet down the mind and continuously try to change your perspective (although there will be resistance internally).
Contemplate a few more times and deal with the self-cherishing thoughts. Once the views change, the frame of mind will also change. Once we realize we have practiced according to the teachings even for a few moments, there will be joy arising in the heart.
