Graduation Ceremony for Bilingual Main and Assistant Lecturers

31 January 2026 marked an important milestone for bilingual students, as 19 bilingual Assistant Lecturers (including 3 from Malaysia) and 12 bilingual Main Lecturers trainees graduated together at Learning Centre @ Bugis.
During the event, Venerable Ben Wen encouraged the trainees to do their best to help others through learning and sharing Lamrim, emphasizing cause and effect as the path to ending suffering. He reminded everyone that learning from our masters is essential, and that what truly matters is the process of learning and practice, rather than merely focusing on results.
The representatives from the assistant and main lecturer trainees shared their heartfelt learning journey. The respective leads for the programmes— Brother David Sim (For Assistant Lecturers), Brother Tiong Boon (for Main Lecturers, via recorded video), and Sister Glenda —also shared their personal learning journeys, offering heartfelt motivation and encouragement to the trainees.
After a sumptuous tea break, all participants were grouped into few teams — combination of trainees, mentor lecturers, and lesson facilitators— to take part in a lively Kahoot game that tested their Lamrim knowledge. Following the final “high moment” of the event, the singing of Teacher’s Insightful Praise (You Are My Brightest Star) concluded the ceremony smoothly. As a thoughtful and environmentally friendly gesture, the organizing committee presented all participants with biodegradable containers and cutlery to bring home.
