【Going for Refuge to the Three Jewels】- skillfully listen (to the teachings)

However, now we seem to have this paradox where we would say that we’ve studied the scriptures and commentaries at length and yet our practice can’t seem to concord with the principles? The reason is you haven’t skilfully understood this principle. In the end, even though the scriptures and commentaries are the best teachings, but because you are not skilled, you can’t see the true quintessence of the teaching.
