皈依 : 我是超胜我第一    

那个时候你应该怎么办呢？一心自己如法修行，净除自己罪障都来不及，你看人家干什么？看人家完全错了，所以绝不应该看别人的过失，「不应起心作是念，我是超胜我第一。」一方面不看别人的过失，一方面不要自己贡高我慢，我行、我强，这个不可以，你一生这个憍慢心，那什么毛病都来了。

【The Precepts of Refuge】 – I am superior, I am the best

At that time, what should you do then?  You want to wholeheartedly practice according to the teachings.  You would not even have enough time to eliminate your own obscurations, why would you be looking at other people?  If you look at the faults of other people, you will be completely wrong.  Therefore, you should absolutely not scrutinize others’faults, “You should not think, ‘I am superior; I am the best.’” On one hand, you do not scrutinize others’ faults.  On the other hand, you should not increase your arrogance, such as telling yourself I am good at this, I am better.  These are forbidden.  As soon as you are arrogant, all sorts of problems will ensue.
