师心、我心、菩提心之八

I have interesting and joyous volunteering experience yesterday with my Buddhist classmates at Orange Valley Marsiling.

There are senior classmates who are actively singing, dancing and mingling with the old folks, and there are some of juniors classmate like me, who stand there like a wooden block, feeling awkward and participate minimally. It’s the first time, probably in 10 years since I participate in such volunteering activities and probably the first time that mingling with old folks.

It took a bit of time and a lot of encouragement from my senior classmates to break awkwardness and it’s a good feeling to talk and interact with the elderly folks. 

Although it was a short event, the smile and appreciative thanks from the elderly does touch my heart; and I’m sure everyone participated will want to do it again.
