Prajnaparamita Sutra – the path to wisdom
PEI 20 June 2017
The main purpose of Buddha coming into this world is to help all sentient beings clear their obscuration, to achieve real happiness.
Afflictions and ignorance are the main hindrances in achieving wisdom. One can achieve true wisdom by relying on the Dharma to find courage and strength to persevere in the studies.
Prajnaparamita Sutra (Heart Sutra) is the king of Sutras that teaches us emptiness – the highest level of wisdom. Learning this Sutra might be difficult for most people, so it is important to contemplate its benefits, eventually we will come to experience supreme joy in the learning.
Rely on a Teacher is absolutely necessary for all Dharma studies too. Because teachers have the great wisdom and compassion to lead us out of the cyclic existence. We should contemplate and appreciate their kindness, as a way to cultivate the virtue of gratitude.
Thus, practise towards developing the qualities of the Bodhisattva, with great desire to learn from great teachers are the foundations to reach ultimate happiness, or pure land.
May all who learn under a lineage Master attain ultimate wisdom and happiness as Buddha wishes us!
